What clarity and color is best for diamonds?

It is not every day that you step out to the shop to go buy diamonds! That is why it is understandable if you feel a little apprehensive when you think about buying diamonds. It is a luxury no doubt, but one you have been eyeing for the longest time. Let us deep dive into what you must look for in your diamonds, so the next time you’re browsing through for the ultimate piece of luxury jewelry, you know exactly what you need to look out for.

One of the most important thing for you to remember are the four Cs of Diamonds—   the Cut, Clarity, Color and Carat. While the cut and carat are based predominantly on personal preferences, the clarity and color are more to do with the quality of the diamond you are buying.

When looking at the Clarity, you will need to remember that most diamonds have natural properties called ‘inclusions’. Keep an eye out for small and less frequent ‘inclusions’ with minimum blemishes. It is the best way to identify the quality of the diamond. In reality, for the untrained eye, one cannot really tell the difference, but the grade letters marked for diamonds can help you decide better. The grades range from Flawless (FL) to Included (I1, I2, I3).

As for the color, naturally occurring diamonds are available in a myriad of colors. Look at pink diamonds, blue, green or even yellow when thinking of an engagement ring. The Brown diamonds for sale or white and colorless ones that are available can be held out for other special occasions. Most diamonds however, will tend to have a trace of yellow, brown or grey color. The more colorless it is, the higher it is in terms of value. Keep an eye out for the grade letters to know exactly what the exact color is. The range starts at D (colorless) and ranges up to Z (light yellow).

Weather you have your eyes on the blue diamond for sale, or conflicted if to buy pink diamond that would make for the perfect engagement ring, think about what the diamond means to you. We understand how important this purchase would be for you how it could mark the beginning of forever for some; ensure you are equipped with the right know-how of buying diamond.
